As a PR and marketing tactic, bylines are used to promote the author’s thought leadership or a company’s unique expertise and services. A traditional magazine feature can draw attention to an important topic and educate readers with research and information. Well-written articles build credibility, provoke ideas, and spur conversation.

In an increasingly STEM-dominated world, what is the value of the liberal arts today? This long-form essay exploring the arguments for and against a liberal arts education was the cover story for the Fall 2015 edition of Och Tamale Magazine, the University of Redlands alumni publication. The article spurred several new gifts to the university and was one of the most read stories on the online version of the magazine.
